Victorian Era Earrings

 Victorian Style Earrings by Victorianology

Georgian jewelry (ca early 1700's through early 1800's) was the precursor to Victorian jewelry, it was the jewelry that came out of the British Empire during the reign of Kings named George. And in the same manner, Victoria's reign (ca 1819 through 1901) brought about a new revolution, especially in fashion and jewelry. It could be stated that Victoria captivated attention much the way Diana and now William holds ours today. The jewelry designs of the Victorian Era often incorporated motifs from nature. Birds, plants, leaves, and even shells from the sea were popular in the jewelry of her reign.

The ladies of the day wore their hair in elaborate styles often covering their ears, thus the earrings of this time often dangled below the ear. Our earring designs have been patterned after the beautiful pieces worn during this era. Using birds, leaves, and filigree stampings, we team them with tiny chunky chain using small faceted crystals surrounded by miniature bead caps.
Our jewelry is available assembled and Ready to Wear, or in a Beaded Jewelry Kit for those that enjoy making their own jewelry.
